EAA Chapter 15 is happy to announce the acquisition of a new aircraft project. Our Chapter was more than happy to take the stewardship of a Hatz CB-1. In storage since the early 80’s, the first time it’s seen daylight in over 40 years. The craftsmanship of the fuselage is excellent and the wood is like it was back in the 70’s.

More information on the CB-1 can be found at the Hatz Biplane Association, the wikipedia pageHatz Biplane pilot report, or Hatz CB-1 Classic.

But this project will have to wait its turn as we work on the Taylorcraft BL-65 rebuild and the Sonex Waiex project.
